Short version: we collect what you send us through the contact form, and if you allow it, analytics and advertising measurement. We do not sell anything to anyone.

Analytics and advertising cookies are not set on this browser.
Operators Fund is a Canadian acquisition firm based in Toronto, Ontario. We buy and operate businesses. This policy covers operatorsfund.ca.
Questions, requests or complaints go to tyler@operatorsfund.ca, which reaches Tyler Wright, who is responsible for privacy here.
Our contact form asks for your first name, last name, email address, LinkedIn profile, what you are interested in, and a message. You choose what to put in it. We use it to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation if it turns into an ongoing one.
Form submissions are handled by Webflow, which hosts this site, and are sent to our email. We also keep records of business conversations in our own customer records system.
If you allow it, two things run while you browse.
Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages people read and where they arrived from. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google a record of the pages you view, with your IP address shortened before storage. We use it to find out which writing is worth doing more of.
The Meta pixel tells us whether our advertising is working. If you visit this site after seeing an ad, or later see one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, the pixel is how those get connected. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Meta the pages you visited on this site, along with your IP address and browser details. Meta may match that to your account if you have one, and may use it to show you our ads later.
If you decline, neither one loads. No cookies are set, no requests are made to Google or Meta, and nothing about your visit leaves this site. The site works exactly the same either way.
We do not sell your information, and we do not combine advertising data with anything you send us through the contact form.
Analytics and the advertising pixel only run if you accept them. You can change that at any time using the buttons at the top of this page. Turning them off deletes the cookies they set from this browser straight away.
Your choice is stored in your own browser, so if you use a different browser or device, or clear your browsing data, you will be asked again.
Because these providers are based in the United States, information held by them may be accessible to authorities there under the laws of that country. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We keep correspondence and contact details for as long as there is a live business reason to, and then for a reasonable period after in case the conversation picks back up. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete it, except anything we are required to keep by law.
Google Analytics data expires on Google's own schedule, currently set to the shortest retention Google offers. Data sent to Meta is kept according to Meta's own policies, which we do not control.
Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, you can ask us to:
Email tyler@operatorsfund.ca and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you are in Quebec.
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to form submissions and email is limited to people who need it, and protected by two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that puts your information at real risk.
This site is aimed at business owners, brokers and investors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you have given consent, we will ask again.
